Young people in Primary 6 or 7 are invited to come along to the youth group which meets on Friday evenings in the Chalmers Suite between 7pm -8.30pm. Entry is 50p and there is also a tuck shop (which has a maximum spend of £2).   If you would like to come along please download a consent form from the top of this page, ask your parent or carer to complete it and bring it along to the group.  Any young person wishing to attend the group must have a fully completed consent form.

The Youth Group has started up for the Spring term and we have lots of fun sessions planned with loads of games and activities to support the spiritual development of our attendees.  Hopefully we will get some better weather later on in the spring so we can do some outdoor activities.

December 2016

I am thinking ahead to Christmas with great excitement. This year we have quite a few new young people engaging in church activities. This year when you look at the Christmas tree in the church you will see a wonderful array of Christmas robins peeking through the branches. Every child and young person in the church has had the opportunity to make a decoration for the tree and they are delighted that they have had the chance to help make the church look really festive. I find it truly amazing to see how the bundle of handmade robins is increasing. We are exceptionally privileged to be a church blessed with so many children and young people in its congregation.

By the time this magazine is distributed, we will have held a fun afternoon of Christmas crafts and seasonal movies. As the local schools have two in-service days at the end of November we felt it was a good opportunity to offer the children something a little bit different to do on their day off school and the response to it has been very positive.

he youth group is planning a Christmas Outing on 9 December and the excitement is already building for the end of term Christmas party night on 16 of December. Some of the young people will be involved with the family service on Christmas Eve and judging by their enthusiastic conversations regarding Christmas jumpers I look forward to seeing a vast and colourful variety of Christmas clothing at the 7.00pm service.

fter all the enjoyment and exhilaration in the lead up to Christmas the youth group and all our wonderful helpers will take a break before resuming for a new, fun-filled, term in January.

With my best wishes to you all this Christmas, Lynda
